Lampeter’s only remaining full bank, HSBC, has closed for refurbishment.

The bank on Harford Square closed on 21 September and is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday 11 October 2023.

No details about the extent of the refurbishment have been given by HSBC but the bank was not currently wheelchair accessible. Hopefully the refurbishment will be addressing that.

The nearest HSBC branch is in Lammas Street in Carmarthen.

Otherwise the notice on the door of the Lampeter branch suggests using online banking, phone banking or services at the Post Office in the Co-op.
