Ceredigion Country Council is recruiting a full-time Wellbeing Centre Duty Officer to work at the Wellbeing Centre in Lampeter (formerly Lampeter Leisure Centre & Swimming Pool) as maternity leave cover.
The ideal candidate for this post will be able…
- To open and close the buildings, operate the centre on a day-to-day basis in the absence of the Team Manager/Co-ordinator/Support Officer and be responsible for the security of the premises.
- To supervise and direct the Lifeguard/Operation Attendants and other staff at the facility and to ensure that the council’s resources are used in the most efficient manner.
- To assist with the development and implementation of all Health and Safety legislation and practices where appropriate.
- To be able to assist citizens of all ages – responding to their enquires and concerns and ensuring they have access to up-to-date information.
- To assist with the delivery of a high quality, efficient and effective service to all customers and potential customers.
- To assist with delivery of swimming lessons and other classes as and when required.
Safeguarding children and young people is a key priority for Ceredigion County Council. All staff will require an Enhanced Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
