Ceredigion County Council is the top tier local authority covering the county of Ceredigion including the towns of Lampeter, Tregaron, Aberaeron, Cardigan, Aberporth and Aberystwyth.

The Council’s services include education, planning, car parks, social care, roads, street lighting and waste management.

The activities of Ceredigion County Council are overseen by 38 elected County Councillors.

Plaid Cymru is the majority party on the Council with 20 of the 38 Councillors.

The County Councillor for Lampeter is Cllr Anne Bowen Morgan, who is also a councillor on Lampeter Town Council.
