Contracts awarded by Ceredigion County Council to operators of local bus services come to an end on 31 August 2023.

Following a procurement process the County Council has awarded new contracts reflecting both levels of demand and the resources available.

Two of these contracts are for services between Lampeter and Aberystwyth…

• 585 Aberystwyth – Tregaron – Lampeter via Llanfair Clydogau, Llangeitho and Llanilar
• 588 Aberystwyth – Tregaron – Lampeter via Llangybi, Bethania and Llangwyryfon

Both services have changes to their timetables. The 585 in particular now only runs three times a day between Lampeter and Aberystwyth.

• 588 Aberystwyth – Tregaron – Lampeter via Llangybi, Bethania and Llangwyryfon

These changes do not affect the Welsh Government’s TrawsCymru T1 service or Bwcabus that also provide bus services for Lampeter.
