Watson & Pratt’s in Lampeter are looking for a part-time Bakery Cleaner.

The job is for 4 days a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

An energetic person, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm, who is also meticulous and hard-working, is needed to support the Bakery team at Watson & Pratts Bakery, an independent bakery.

The job will be to assist the team of bakers and bakery assistants, by completing day-to-day cleaning and prep tasks, as the team produce speciality sourdough, delicious pastries, and other baked goods for Watson & Pratt’s two shops, home-delivery and wholesale customers.

This position offers the opportunity to join an energetic and lively, food loving team, whose priority is to provide a range of high standard sourdoughs, pastries and cakes, which are renowned in the locality and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be someone who…

• has cleaning experience
• is flexible and can work extra hours, to cover staff holidays
• can keep a clean and tidy workspace and prepare the kitchen for the bakers
• responds to direction
• works diligently to maintain our high hygiene standards.

The shift pattern will be…

• Mondays 10am-3pm
• Wednesdays 11am-3pm
• Thursdays 10am-3pm
• Saturdays 10am-3pm
• One hour shift on a Sunday, once a month, to feed the levains (paid double time).

There is also an opportunity to work more hours during December, in the busy run up to Christmas.

The job will start in November 2023.
