The Volac plant at Felinfach is a modern dairy production facility that uses the latest membrane filtration and drying technologies to produce Volac’s high-performance whey protein isolates for the sports and active nutrition markets, lactose for use in a range of food applications and base powders for young animal milk formulas.

The site is powered by a low-emission biomass CHP energy centre, helping to deliver a minimal carbon footprint and is implementing a water recovery project to deliver our operational sustainability commitments.

The site also holds the following internationally recognised management system, food safety, health & safety and environmental standards … ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, FSSC 22000:2020, ISO45001:2018 and FEMAS, Kosher and Halal.
