Conti’s is a family run café and ice cream maker based in Lampeter.
The main café on Harford Square in Lampeter was opened in 1933. It was one of seventeen Conti’s Cafés established across South and West Wales by Artillio Conti and his brothers, Giacomo and Alfredo.
Artillio’s granddaughter, Jo Conti took over the family business with her son Tom in 2012. By then the Lampeter café was the last remaining Conti’s café.
More recently Conti’s took over the café at the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron property.
Conti’s have also established a successful business making ice cream to a closely guarded family recipe.
Currently the Lampeter café is closed but will be re-opening on 8 November 2023.
The Llanerchaeron café will be closing for the winter season on 5 November 2023.
