The Co-op supermarket is on the south-eastern border of Lampeter on the main A482.

It is open until 10pm Monday to Saturday, and until 4pm on Sunday.

The store stocks a full range of groceries, including some organic fruit and vegetables.

It has a regular ‘£5 Meal Deal’ (£6 for non Co-op members) that is very good value for money, although generally it is not as price competitive as the bigger supermarkets.

The Co-op also houses Lampeter’s Post Office, as well as giving over part of its floor space to The Original Factory Shop.

There is ample parking both at the front and the rear of the store – although the front car park often floods in heavy rains.

The Co-op supermarket is one of two main supermarkets in Lampeter – the other being Sainsbury’s in the centre of town.

There is currently a planning application in for a new Aldi store at the opposite end of town – although it is understood to be stalled at the moment because of flood risk concerns.

If, and when, that new Aldi supermarket arrives in Lampeter it is uncertain whether one or both of the current supermarkets will remain in the town.
