Ceredigion County Council is looking to recruit a Cook to join the Team at Hafan Deg Residential Care Home, Lampeter on a permanent part time basis.

The role includes…

• General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds.
• To prepare and serve meals to the residents.
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times.
• Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards.

On a day to day basis you will…

• Undertake the preparation and serving of meals for the residents to include beverages.
• General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds.
• Setting up the tables and clearing if required.
• Recording the temperature of food at the point of service.
• Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards.
• Ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling.
• General Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment.

The Council is looking to recruit an individual with…

• Experience/knowledge of working within a catering environment.
• Adaptability.
