Bryngwyn Stallions is offering an Apprenticeship for someone looking to enter the equine industry.
Bryngwyn Stallions is based near Tregaron in Ceredigion in a stunning rural location with purpose built equine facilities including a equine therapy and spa centre.
The role will provide access to training via Haddon Training course NVQ Equine Apprenticeship L2/3.
Overview
The Apprentice will be a member of the team all sharing equal responsibility via a rota basis, reporting to the Yard Manager. The position is a live out.
Operational hours between Monday to Sunday on a rota shift basis. Normal shifts are 8am – 5pm (however this can change due to foaling and various activities). The post will be for 36.45 hours per week (4.5 days per week).
The role will provide access to Apprentice Training in all areas of Horse Care…
- Yard duties including mucking out, watering and sweeping
- Grooming and general health maintenance of the horses
- Tack cleaning
- Schooling and hacking (depending on capabilities)
- Lunging / Double line lunging (depending on capabilities)
- Liaising with the Stable Manager and /or Head Girl on any issues, routines and actions needed for horses care
- Maintaining a tidy feed room, washroom, tack room
- Preparing horses for competitions including plaiting (depending on capabilities)
- Assisting with stud duties, foaling and care.
Requirements

An Apprentice Contract with Haddon Training and Bryngwyn Stallions will be provided, and also a contract of employment as an Apprentice.
